A selection of fabrics from the Serenade Collection.
In my (Mrs Speech) Tea Time Tutorial, I had the privilege of using the beautiful fabrics from the Serenade Collection, courtesy of Fluffy Sheep Quilting.

To celebrate the opening of my new Etsy shop, Pink Scissors Design, I am giving away surplus fabric to you, my dear readers!

It's beautiful fabric and it will be a joy to work with and create something lovely!

All four pieces are 15" x 10.5" wide.

International entries are welcome.

The contest begins midnight Wednesday, 26th September 2012 EST and closes Wednesday, 3rd October 2012 EST.

    I would love to make my daughter a pillow slip from thus, she would love it because she would remember that it was made especially for her each time she went to bed, and she would love the colours and designs on the fabric!

  69. I think I would make a large scrappy pillow for the 14 year old daughter of some friends. I am in the process of making a lap cuddle quilt for one of her cousins. We have been here in Mexico for almost 3 years and I have not seen any quilting anywhere except for the cheap polyester ones that they carry at Walmart. I am hoping to show people what quilting can be like.

    1. I can relate to how difficult it can be to find good fabric overseas. I have been here in Australia for 5 years. It was a good two years before I discovered the local fabric stores. It helped joining the quilting/craft group at church. I hope you can find a local quilting/craft group. Perhaps, you can start one.

    1. Such a great idea! Both my grandmother and mother taught me to sew, quilt, crochet, knit, cross-stitch...anything with a needle pulling thread. One of the first activities I remember doing with my grandmother is stringing buttons. My grandmother had a huge button collection. I spent hours stringing buttons.

    1. A cell phone or camera cover are great ideas! Personally, I like to work on smaller projects more than larger ones...for the simple fact that I finish them. It's very satisfying to finish a project. Currently, I have at least three (maybe more) large projects in the works. To keep it interesting, I also have many small projects going.

  151. I cross stitch and usually finish off my projects into little pillows. I like to stitch "name" designs on a pillow for friends daughters. I add a ribbon to the top so they can hang it on the door knob of their bedroom. This fabric would make really cute name pillows.
